Have Hash is the result of years of passion, persistence, and a deep respect for the plant.

It all began in 2010 in Santa Cruz, a vibrant beach town on California’s central coast. At the time, our founder Jacob had been working in the cannabis scene and was drawn to hash — but disillusioned by the quality on the market. The shelves were packed with harsh, wasteful BHO and volatile extracts from questionable sources. So he decided to change that.

Teaming up with trusted growers, Jacob began crafting clean, terp-rich bubble hash — the kind that smelled better, smoked smoother, and honored the flower it came from. It didn’t take long for people to take notice. Dispensaries couldn’t keep it on their shelves.

But to truly scale and evolve, Jacob knew he had to head north. He packed his gear and moved to Humboldt — the heartland of legacy cannabis.

Humboldt proved to be more challenging than expected - growers were processing their own material into BHO, and the growers that were producing quality flowers were difficult to find, preferring to stay anonymous in the murky medicinal market.

In Arcata, Jacob crossed paths with legendary glass artist Mr. Gray. Burnt out from the grind and looking for a creative reset, Jacob began apprenticing in the shop. There, surrounded by artists and exotic growers who’d stop by to vibe, a new creative fire was lit — and the relationships he came north to find began to take root.

Those growers — their genetics, their ethos, their reverence for the plant — became the foundation of what Have Hash is today. Because quality in equals quality out. And that’s the only way we operate.

Today, Have Hash is a self-funded, licensed legacy brand built on craft, connection, and regenerative values. Every cultivar is hand-selected by Jacob. Every partner farm uses practices that protect the environment and produce clean, powerful resin.

What is your favorite strain to process?

“I would have to say Zkittlez, and some of our Zkittlez crosses are some of my favorite to process. First and foremost, they are usually lower yielding cultivars so there are less people out there who are interested in working with them. Secondly, the real Zkittlez and Zkittlez crosses are very difficult to source, and are even more difficult to clone and cultivate than most other cultivars - when it’s done right, it can be the most fire melt out there.”
